WHY !!!! ---------SOLUTION
When was the last time you sat in a sports bar
with a beastly cold beer, munching on delicious cutters to view a cricket
match? Now if that is not life I don't know what is.
My name is Ravi Randy Rampersad and I felt a strong obligation to do a
blog on the best local sports bars in Trinidad and Tobago. I have been to many
sports bars, watching sports, drinking , eating and listening to groovy music
but according to the World Health Organisation (WHO) stress is at an all time
high in Trinidad and alot of Trinidadians suffer from hypertension, guys you do
not need to visit the doctor to tell you to take it slow or go out and have
fun, I am telling you! In my blog drinks, food and ambiance
will be highlighted when reviewing sports bars. The purpose of the blog is to
share with fellow sports bars enthusiasts and the general public about bars
which excel in these three areas that were highlighted earlier. By this time
some of you may have searched the statistic about Trinidad as it relates to WHO
and discovered that I lied, but who cares.

Toppers Restaurant and Bar is located on the Northern side of Grand Bazaar Mall. This is definitely not your economy class sports bars. Viewing from the outside, the deck is spacious and seating is sufficient. Patrons have the option of dining/drinking inside or outside (I always go outside). American Cuisine is featured from steaks and ribs to seafood and pasta, they have a wide selection of appetizers. I had the Chicken Hoagie (yes I know this is not an appetizer but its good), buffalo wings and fries. Ambiance is above average, some activities include Karaoke every Wednesday night at 9pm, live bands every Thursday night at 9pm and the hyped after work lime. A wide selection of local and foreign liquors. The last time I visited here customer service could have been better, the waiter when I explained to her we waited half and hour before we could have drinks she immediately apologized to us which was polite of her. Not many television screens, but it will do. Inside ha...
JZZ's is a locally owned sports bar and restaurant in the Couva area, precisely on the corner of Gibbs Street and Southern Main Road Point Lisas. Beautiful architecture and landscaping cannot be missed by patrons or the public. This sports bar has a western inspired cuisine, the majority being American. The seasoned steak fries and wings I ordered were very flavorful especially the steak fries. I should have ordered the Spicy wings, these wings were the honey bar-b-que which were sweet. In addition to these they had a variety of appetizers to munch on (I was too full to order anything else). The pepper sauce was very tasty (not soo much heat though). Other appetizers included crab back, platter 1 etc... The platter 1 is a very popular appetizer assortment witch include jalapeno poppers, calamari rings, chicken fingers and buffalo wings, this is great for a group of friends. The bar area was very modern and sleek. You all may be wondering why the ...
Steel Restaurant and Lounge is situated in South Park Mall San Fernando. This restaurant is probably the most recently opened sports bar in Trinidad. Their cuisine include American, West Indian, Chinese and Italian dishes. Approaching the entrance, the bouncers were routinely checking patrons identification cards (LOL) and then I remembered its summer vacation. The upstairs (deck) is huge with open air seating, we visited on a Friday night, so it was packed. Music was pumping, televisions screens were sufficient, you had the option of dining inside or a more quiet experience inside: which had a full restaurant. Ambiance was above average: design and layout. The seating accommodation was substantial, tables were placed at specific locations on the outside deck for those which chose to stand. Steel boasts a wide variety of both local and international beers and hard liquors, the wrap around bar was the highlight (in my opinion). We had the pepper chicken and spicy chicken...
